Such a beautiful location! The house was warm and spacious, the beds were very comfortable, the house has everything you could need. Also there was lots of wildlife around, we even saw a few white wallabies! Couldn’t recommend more for a relaxing get away

Very nice little bungalow, well located on Bruny Island, close to Pingouins and other places of interest. Bungalow is well equipped, including breakfast ready in the fridge and expresso coffee machine as well as a well stocked cupboard with some small necessities helpful for cooking dinner. We received our Welcome pack via email prior arrival and everything you need to know is found within the digital pack. Locating the grounds is self explanatory and the teepee’s look pretty cool when you arrive but once inside, the cosy feel and cleanliness will make you feel very comfortable. The kitchen, lounge space and toilet is well maintained. The garden area lit up at night makes the place feel atmospheric. The best recommendation I can give is driving down the road to the bakers fridge. Freshly made bread is delivered to the roadside outdoor fridge in the morning which we took back to the kitchen and had breakfast on the terrace. Absolute bliss! Thanks Louise for a great Glamping experience on Bruny :)

A small friendly town in the south of Tasmania.

A small friendly town in the south of Tasmania. A good area to base yourself for trips to Cockle Creek, Hastings caves and Southport. The local scenic roads can be windy at times, with patches of dirt roads which can vary in their condition depending on the time of year. Beautiful views of the Channel and Bruny island as well as the many bays and inlets. There is a small IGA in town, a BP service station with driveway service... open 7 day a week. certainly, a bit of a rarity in this day of self-serve! There is a golf club which also has food service, and a couple of small cafes. You need to check the opening hours as they weren't open during our stay.

Dover is a wonderful place, fairly small, and it is easy to get around if you have your own transport. It has an RSL Club and a very well stocked IGA. There are also a couple of cafes. The town is close to a number of Tourist Attractions such as the Hastings Caves and the Huon Valley. It is a great part of the world!!!

Best little spot, so peaceful and apparently beautiful aurora's can be seen from the bay. Owners so helpful. We ate at the local RSL club and the food was excellent, We even joined in their raffles for the night

Dover is a lovely, quiet town with a well-stocked IGA and mini-shopping centre. Ideally located on Port Esperance, Dove is an easy drive to other sights like Hastings Caves, Tahune Adventures treetop walk, and Harz Mountains trails.

Host were fantastic and accommodating to our needs with a shower chair made available along with good suggestions and help with dinner arrangements. The beds were very comfortable, and rooms were very nicely presented in different themes filled with interesting materials. There were excellent little extras such as various sized gum boots outside to allow for easy adventure of their property down to a bird hide and river, and the wildlife. The serenity of the area made for a quiet and restful night's sleep. The breakfast I warn you is big, with a delightful homemade muesli to start followed by some fresh eggs from their chickens combined with a bounty fit for a king with bacon, sausages, mushrooms and more. That is accompanied by plenty of fresh coffee, tea or juice. A great place in all aspects for a rural stay.

Pros - We loved the scenic beauty and tranquility, the bird life (seagulls, black swans, cormorants, ducks etc), the coast and bays, the farms, bushland, nearby forests and caves, and spectacular sunrise. The IGA was great to buy provisions. Cons - We were there on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights and we didn’t want to cook dinner, but there was only one place open for dinner in Dover early in the week - the RSL. The other eating places in Dover are only open for dinner for 2 or 3 nights between Thursday and Saturday. That was very disappointing. We had take-away sushi from Masaaki’s at Geeveston on Sunday (superb) , dinner at Dover RSL on Monday (ok) and had to travel all the way to the Kermandie Hotel for dinner on Tuesday night (quite good). Unfortunately there’s no bakery in Dover (just what’s at IGA).

It is very family friendly home, our two little girls loved the games provided - naughts and crosses, monkey tree, dominos. It was a great base for exploring the Dover region. We went out to the Caves, Willy Smith Apple Barn, the Maritime workshop and museum, the Honey Bee shop, etc and the RSL is great for a family meal with fabulous views of the water.

Great location in Dover right on the waterfront as per the name. Alex met us on arrival to hand over keys he was very friendly .We were only there of one night to break up the driving. We went for a lovely walk along the waterfront to the beach- stunning scenery We also walked to the RSL club (15 min walk) for a wonderful meal

Best breakfast I’ve had. Exceptional outdoor facilities a bonus. A summer house down by the creek with a walk through the sheep to reach it. A n outdoor fireside for evening. First class indoor facilities. Close to the little Dover town centre. Unbeatable motor touring of the glorious far south.

Incredible views of the bay from the balcony and lounge. We were surprised to find a couple of added extras on arrival. The jacuzzi was an added bonus even on a rainy winters day. Will be back when next in Dover.
