Great spot on the banks of the Murray with interesting...
Great spot on the banks of the Murray with interesting history not just in the Port but throughout the township where guidance plaques tell of its rich history. Echuca is also a base for paddle steamer trips that can last hours or days - and this comes with particular recommendation as one of the most relaxing trips we've done. Three nights on the PS Emmylou was regenerating - as we glided down the Murray to the heartbeat of the paddles gently massaging our ears. We floated past remote bushland with wedge tailed eagles circling high in the sky and Galahs screeching their welcome to some of the most majestic scenery on the planet.Guest review byDudleyAustralia - 10.0

Really enjoyed our hour long cruise on the “Canberra” Paddle Steamer. The American Hotel was a lovely experience with live music and great food. Lots of fantastic places to eat, any time of the day. Echuca is a beautiful place to visit. The food outlets provide excellent food service and the variety of shops are worth visiting. Echuca wharf is a great place to enjoy watching or cruising the paddle steamers on the Murray River. Plenty of things to see and do for everyone.Guest review byJulieAustralia - 10.0

The availability of a wide range of restaurants and shops. Within easy reach and all quite amazing. One thing I mentioned to everyone was the blue, blue sky! We don't have that blue sky here in Colac. The trip up the Murray River was fabulous and really interesting especially with the information provided along the way. It is a beautiful town and we'll worth visiting and enjoying its beauty.
