There is a lot of history in and around Farrell Flat area you have Burra 10 minutes down the road Mintaro is another historic place to visit. There is a beautiful painting of a train on the silo's at Farrell Flat. I know there are travellers that are going around to places just to see all the painted silo's around their state this is just another place to put on the list to visit.

Farrell Flat itself is a very small town.

Farrell Flat itself is a very small town. I drove 20k down the road to Clare to do shopping etc. The reasonable price of the Trevalia accommodation was why I chose it over staying in Clare itself, which was much more expensive. I'm so glad I chose Trevalia, which had the peace and seclusion I needed. The hosts were accessible when I had questions, the accommodation was wonderful, the breakfast provisions were fantastic, and I couldn't have asked for more.

A very historical , former Railway town & farming community. Can walk around the town and enjoy the historic sites. Stayed at the fruiterer B&B and Sally has a booklet highlighting the historical sites and all points of interest.

We were intrigued and enchanted by this lovingly restored home, garden and the old fruiterer's shop where we slept, the old dancehall for relaxing with their great library. We were served a lovely home cooked breakfast in the convention centre and made to feel welcome and snug on a day remarkable for the fact that it SNOWED just 30 ks away as we left. Garry and Sally were convivial and informative hosts and recommended the Stump and Magpie at Monarto - a great meal.
