The lounge was awesome — really chill vibes. The whole place just feels peaceful. The atmosphere’s amazing, and since the hotel’s a bit out of the city, it’s got this relaxed, different kind of feel. Oh, and the brekkie was pretty good too.

We had an amazing time at Silverwood. Opening the door to a luscious garden and taking a few steps, it was always magical to see pademelons rocketing off into the undergrowth. The house offers amazing views, and you can see the river down in the valley. The interiors and decorations of the house are fantastic. We enjoyed the bath and all of the natural light. Uniquely, the kitchen was fully equipped so you can do proper cooking.

It was a lovely little cottage in a quiet and peaceful rural area. The interior was very tastefully furnished to exceptional standards. Gerry was an attentive host who gave us everything we needed and more. I will recommend her cottage to friends and family who will be travelling to Tasmania in the future.

Gary made us amazing breakfasts on both days. He also made a terrific afternoon tea. The rooms are great and the outside area fabulous. Great views and a fire pit as well. Recommend this place highly!

10/10 was simply not enough. This is a superb b&b, run by truly excellent hosts. We could not fault it for cleanliness, facilities, comfort, friendly and informative hosts, atmosphere, a lovely garden and wonderful views.

Everyone we encountered were helpful & friendly, our hosts were most considerate friendly & ensured we had everything we needed quietly and efficiently without fuss. Our accommodation was outstanding and there were numerous activities in the surrounding areas to participate in if we were interested.

Beautiful little town surrounded by mountains and only a short drive to beaches, walking tracks and other local attractions. Plenty of places to eat, fantastic IGA to pick up any last minute supplies and a laundromat. Visitor information centre was a great source of local knowledge and plenty of things to browse and buy.

We've been travelling through Tasmania for a week or so and this was by far the best place we'd stayed at. The house is big and feels like a house, the pictures really don't give it justice! Everything was super clean and comfy, fully equipped kitchen and anything you may need. Would totally recommend it. Jo was very nice and even left us some food in the fridge! The place is easy to find, just some 3 minutes by car from Geevestone

The Bears Flew Over the Mountain was a great B&B guest house in Geeveston., Our breakfast was a cooked one, very tasty, all you could want, and included in the tariff. Good set-out point for the Tahune tree walks. Our hostess was warm and friendly, too. Good animal watching location around sunset.

Our family room was spacious, clean, and just what we needed for a one-night stay. The hotel was located nearby to other shops and was within walking distance to a playground and a Platypus Walk, which was great for letting the kids burn off some energy before our next destination.

Breakfast was a lovely cooked breakfast served in a delightful dining room. The B and B was very central to Geeveston and close to the local bus stop which was handy. lovely walks nearby along the kermandie river

Breakfast provisions and goodies above what expected. Excellent communication with host. Very comfortable and lovely peaceful location close to Geeveston. Great base for Hartz National Park and Tahune Airwalk.
