Very friendly and helpful hosts, attentive to clients’ wishes and interests. Excellent dinner in their lovely 19th c. house. Introduced me to some beautiful Tasmanian wines. Made interesting suggestions of activities to do in the area. Enjoyed the shearers’ quarters which provided opportunities to socialize with fellow travellers on the covered porch or enjoy one’s privacy. Very well-appointed kitchen in the quarters. Provided a unique experience of life in a shearers’ quarters. Room small but comfortable, well-renovated, clean. Electric blanket appreciated on cooler nights. Enjoyed my en-suite bathroom.

Really comfortable and clean and inviting. Tasteful furnishings without clutter beautiful. Beds so comfortable great surroundings close to pub for great food.

we had an amazing 3 night stay over new years. What an excellent location for a relaxing break. The history of the building and golf course was very interesting and added to the charm. It was an excellent base for exploring Tasmania from Hobart to Lake St Clare. we would love to return and play another round of golf here! Buffet breakfast was also 10/10. Exceptionally welcoming hosts - we couldn’t have asked for more!

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL through Booking.com. On arrival the reception staff said that they had no record of my booking and that they DO NOT have a relationship with Booking.com. I was also one of many who had turned up with such a booking. This hotel is a workers' hotel and as such meets expectations - I marked it as exceptional because, although notionally 'full', the staff found me a room, which was very kind and helpful as Ouse is not close to other population centres and I would have been stuck for accommodation

We enjoy the amazing countryside and landscapes around the cottage. The cottage itself is warm, comfortable and cozy with all what we needed to feel welcome. The breakfast prepared was delicious. In the day we could see sheep and lambs and at dusk a few walibis and kangaroos jumping around

Very spacious and beautifully designed accommodation. The beds are very comfortable and it is very convenient that there are several bathrooms. The fireplace is very nice and there is a very cosy lounge area on the second floor. There is also a large garden where you can relax and enjoy the sun and the peaceful surroundings. Very welcoming and friendly hosts who live next door. We felt very comfortable in this unique place and would love to come back in the future. Highly recommended!
