I really love your hotel! The vibe is great—warm, cozy, vintage, and beautifully designed. The owner was always very responsive and kind. There’s also parking available, and there’s a church right across the street that you can easily walk to. Overall, I was very impressed and truly enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend this place!

My highlight was the boat trip down the Tamar in the Cataract Gorge. The local council needs to invest in more street name signage at intersections. As a first timer to Launceston I found it hard to navigate.

Launceston is the perfect destination for convenience to REALLY experiencing TAS. Try to fit time in for Hobart, but Launceston has the places to visit, Wine and Food Tails, experiences GALORE! Quick trip to Northeast, East Coast, The Tamar etc Golfing (Bridport and Launie), Hiking (Cradle Mountain), Mountain Biking (Derby, St Helens), PENGUINS (Lowhead) omg , then there is Eating and Drinking. Vineyards and Dustilleries, cheese and chocolate…..

The Tasmania Zoo was a wonderful place to visit.

The Tasmania Zoo was a wonderful place to visit. The animals are nice and close. The animal experiences you can have are awesome. Driving to George Town to watch the Fairy Penguins leave the water is a terrific experience, very close to the penguins! Cataract Gorge is a great place to explore either on foot (plenty of walking tracks) or on a boat tour!

Launceston truly surprised us in the best way possible!

Launceston truly surprised us in the best way possible! It's a beautiful blend of heritage charm and modern convenience. The historic architecture, tree-lined streets, and scenic river views give the city a relaxed, welcoming vibe. One of the highlights was Cataract Gorge—just minutes from the city center, yet it feels like a world away with walking trails, a suspension bridge, and even a chairlift with stunning views. We also loved the local food scene—so many cozy cafes, farm-to-table restaurants, and a great selection of local wines and produce. The people were friendly and always ready to help with directions or recommendations. Whether you're into nature, food, history, or just want to relax, Launceston is a fantastic destination that’s often overlooked. We're so glad we visited and would happily return!

Launceston is a lovely town very easy to get around, great to go to a town that doesn't have late night shopping and most store's close at Saturday lunch. The people are very friendly and helpful ,we will be going back for a bit longer next time.

Having been to and really loving Hobart, my daughter and I decided to try the next biggest city in Tasmania, Launceston. It's not as vibrant and does not offer as many attractions as Hobart, but does boast the glorious Cataract Gorge and Tamar Wetlands. With a car, you can also visit landmarks including Cradle Mountain, the Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary and Freycinet National Park. We also chanced upon the Truffle Farm Tasmania on our drive to the wildlife sanctuary and stopped for some truffle oil, mustard and cream!

The hotel itself is unassuming, not impacting upon its neighbourhood. I just loved that polished concrete look and feel. The rooms were big and very comfortable ... and so very quiet. The staff were superbly attentive and helpful. The hotel's location is perfoect for a traveller waning easy access to all that Launceston has to offer. Though advertised as being short on parking - we found it plentiful.
