The hotel has beautiful spacious rooms with a nice bathroom. It's surrounded by nice trees and we found different birds singing in the morning. There is a petrol station opposite to the hotel that has yummy pies and is open 24/7 even on public holidays. The property manager is very helpful and took my call on Christmas when I needed help for finding some place to eat.

I have been staying in here for a few times. The location is incredibly convenient, situated close to the town center with easy access to shops, cafes, and local attractions. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was a standout feature—newly renovated, modern, and absolutely pristine.

Best bed I've ever slept! mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Room and bathroom were very clean, great view to the valley. Continental breakfast was great value for money, I was not expecting so much kitchenware and it was great for our stay - we had microwave, fridge and everything we need.

Lismore is still recovering in oarts from dreadful floods of several years ago but the indomitable spirit of the community and the large country town feel of the "city" are probably symbolic of Australian medium size Regional centres. It's a very casual town but wants for nothing by way of service and facilities. There are several cultural experiences and museums that are worth a look.

Tired looking town allegedly known for cafe culture but we saw little to no evidence of that; was hoping to do a run along the riverside but river was murky and riverbank looked uninviting. Only positive was some lovely old stately buildings.

It felt right to spend a bit of money in Lismore because it was still reeling from the disastrous flood. It is very apparent that there is a strong community will to recover but it is also clearly a struggle.

There are some fantastic cafes open for business. The food at Dark Horse Espresso was fabulous. The locals are absolutely amazing and Lismore deserves a visit. There were lots of fabulous clothes stores in town. Another fabulous place to visit is the Common People Brewery at Bangalow.

Reopened in November last year after the 2022 floods the Lismore Gateway Motel is a great place to stay in Lismore. The renovations are stylish, the bed was extremely comfortable and the location great. I took a dip in the pool which was divine. I will definitely stay again next time I’m in Lismore. Congratulations to the owners. The rooms are all on the first floor and the lift is not working yet so people with mobility issues would find it a challenge but that is not an issue for me.

The location was fantastic and we temper our views with the fact that the whole Lismore CBD is still seriously effected by the 2022 floods. The staff and food in the hotel downstairs were fabulous. Check in was seamless and done via pin code
