Nambour is an old established town but it provides easy and quick access to the Sunshine Coast( around 20 mins to the Sunshine Coast airport) where accommodation could be considerably more expensive. My stay in the Nambour Heights Motel was directly opposite the Nambour Hospital and relatively close to other places in the area. It was 11 minutes from the Buderim Ginger Factory and very close to the Big Pineapple. Nice town with all shopping facilities. Main Quota park in town centre has three free BBQ but one out of order during our stay. Playground and skate park near this park. More BBQ and seating facilities could improve Tourist experience, difficult to find an operational BBQ in the town area. Check Hervey Bay beachfront areas for excellent examples of BBQ facilities.
