Orange is a vibrant oasis in the midst of the rolling hills of the Central Tablelands. Forget the fog and the frost, winter is absolutely the time to indulge in the best the region has to offer. I can honestly say that the food at the Union Bank was as good as anything I've had in Melbourne, and the beer and ambiance at Badlands Brewery was wonderful. Would love to see the Autumn trees and their beautiful colours. This time of year the trees were bare. The road up Mt Canobolas was narrow and a bit scary with cars coming quickly down. Lake Canobolas has a lovely cafe. The people friendly and welcoming.Guest review bySusanAustralia - 8.0

Friendly people; and many places to dine. Beautiful lights in Main Street as a decorative touch! Easy grid to find your way around Orange township. Autumn colours of deciduous trees lined the streets. The Parkview pub and Ex-Services club, great hearty food for the cold weather. Local wines served in eating venues!Guest review byRachael

Super comfy bed and my room was very quiet (was street facing, vs other friends looked over the beer garden which obviously was not as quiet). My room was small - basically just the bed, wardrobe, bar fridge, tv and ensuite - but perfect for 1-2 guests. There was free parking around the corner too. Considering the price, it’s actually really worth it though. Two nights stay would be ideal to explore Orange and the motel vicinity. Vineyards are amazing with little bunnies running around and wallabies father away.. Don’t be fooled with the name ‘Motel’. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had a lovely little sitting room as well. The food in the hotel is really excellent and there was always a great buzz throughout the public areas.
