I didnt have much of an opportunity to see the shops - seems to be a few vintage/second hand stores that i wanted to visit. We ate at Leon's palace as the orbost hotel's chef was ill therefore the restaurant was closed. The food was great. Orbost river was such a great place to cool down and have a swim. The locals were there too and friendly Close to Buchan Caves which we visited and some waterfalls. Single room (with ensuite) contained a large comfortable bed along with comfortable chairs and even a bench at which to work on (or table). During my visit to Orbost itself, hospitality or assistance was not found in abundance, when visiting, so this place was like a little haven. While the location was quiet there are no services within walking distance. We arrived on one night when pretty much every restaurant we looked at was closed. We ended up with a meagre supper.
