I recently stayed at Sponars Chalet for a ski trip, and overall, it was a decent experience. The best thing about Sponars is definitely the value – it's one of the more affordable options in the Perisher area, and for the price, it really delivers a cosy, social lodge vibe. The rooms are simple but clean and warm, which is all that is needed after a full day on the snow. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. If you want a place that’s friendly and reasonably priced, Sponars is a solid choice.

The great location is close to the start of great walks, the friendly and lovely staff including the chef who cooks very tasty food, the overall atmosphere with a lower level with seating provided and a terrace. Reasonable price for the room.

Had a great stay at the Lodge. We loved the cosy fireplace and large table in the common area especially since it was raining during our stay. If you need to work during your stay, the Wifi is good and works well for Zoom calls. The Lodge is very inviting with lovely breakfast, free tea and coffee all day and even offers homemade dinners if you don't like to go out at night. Thanks for the memorable stay :)

Really friendly and helpful staff - they couldn't have been nicer or more friendly and really went out of their way. We had a gorgeous fondue meal Friday night and on Sat we sat at the bar, played games and drank schnapps. It was excellent.

With less certainty of favourable weather conditions and some lifts not operating towards the end of the season, the price of lift tickets should reflect the percentage of lifts operating for example 100% lifts operating you pay 100% of the price, if only 80% of the lifts are operating then you pay 80% of the price.

Perisher has a great range of ski runs especially green and blue runs, and a large area to ski in. Lift queues were not an issue, though we went midweek, and the lift staff were all happy and helpful. If you're a competent skier, I recommend getting away from Front Valley where its quite busy and many beginners.

We went very early in the season so not all the ski runs were open but the one's that were we enjoyed. Enjoyed having a snack and a beer up at mid station. Also a couple of good bars in perisher village. Would definitely go back.

    Loved the peak music festival.

Loved the peak music festival. I would suggest that no one stays at snowy gums. The hot water system doesn’t work and we only got to have 2 showers in four days. The manager didn’t seem to offer any explanation.

    Perisher is very disappointing!

Perisher is very disappointing! There is no tube town anymore. 5 years ago it was amazing. Scenic chair lift options, magic carpet for kids. There is nothing now. So if you are taking young kids and not skiing, there is zero to do. Just to do 1 chair lift ride it is $200 each for lift passes. Such a joke. On the maps they have tube town. It is gone. There is no play area with t-bar like advertised. Not suited for families. There is no vibe. No winter wonderland. Nothing

An amazing experience. The hotel was clean, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly. The view from the room was breathtaking. If I have the chance, I'd stay there again. I added a photo of the view from the room and a very delicious desert.
