We had the perfect beach weather and Wallaroo exceeded our expectations being a smaller country town with all the facilities needed by us. The location of our apartment enabled us to enjoy beautiful sunrises. It was quiet. All food experiences were great.Guest review byHeather - 8.0
A quiet little town.
A quiet little town. Long Beach / North beach is a beautiful expanse of white sand in a wide bay with shallow water. can drive onto the beach as well. The jetty is a great spot for fishing ( if that is your thing) and apparently a good spot to catch Blue Swimmer Crabs. Some interesting history with previous copper smelting , Welsh miners and some interesting Maritime stories. The little town museum is fascinating. There are a few cafes and restaurants , with Coopers Alehouse at the Marina always available for a good feed and The Bond Store in the Main Street which has an onsite Brewery, Distillery and Restaurant.Guest review byComo dreamsAustralia - 8.0

We had trouble finding the best (and we think only) fish and chip shop open during the evenings. But the effort locating it was well worth the best fish We've ever eaten. Walkeroo itself is a nice place for exploring and fishing. Beaches sre great for walking. There is a lot of history and interesting people in the area. Ships loading at the jetty.
