Museum was excellent and well worth a visit. Coffee cart owners were friendly and had good food and coffee. There was only one place to get meals and that was the local motel. Very basic expensive food

Its a small town with only relaxing to do.
Its a small town with only relaxing to do. Use it as a base and drive to surrounds which is spectacular. Zeehan itself is like stepping into nostalgia of times passed. I would pack food to make in the glamping park, as there is only 1 food truck and a pub that alternates being open. The IGA is very cheap and big so it is well stocked to sell everything you might need. definitely go see the glowworms, Strahan and Henty's dunes

Apart from stopping at the Heemskirk, we also visited the IGA and picked up something that my wife had been after for quite some time, but was not available any where else. We also attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and was pleasantly surprised to notice that it had been recently renovated to a high standard. We were well received there by the local Witnesses .

We were in Zeehan on Christmas Eve and enjoyed the museum where it is possible to spend hours - there is so much information there.
Opposite the Museum was a cafe on the corner (Wildz) where we first went for coffee and then back for lunch. We noticed that they were even serving Christmas Lunch. We went back again on Christmas Day (after visiting Trial Harbour - well worth the trip -and before travelling to Corinna where we knew the restaurant was closed for Christmas day) and enjoyed a beautiful Christmas Lunch - at a ridiculously low price. The lovely owner said it was a service to the community and she was happy to just cover costs on that day. What a wonderful gift to the community and the many travelers.

Lovely quiet town, the old buildings were beautiful.
Lovely quiet town, the old buildings were beautiful. The locals were friendly. For a small town it was well equipped with a small supermarket, hotels and motels. We chose Zeehan for its location, it's close to many 4wd tracks and scenic drives. We had a nice pub feed for dinner at the Heemskirk Hotel and had lunch at the Heritage Centre, lunch was served up by a lovely lady in a food van, the best toasties and coffee we have had in a longtime. We stayed at the Zeehan Bush Camp, great facilities and value for money, highly recommend a visit to Zeehan.

This is the type of hotel you stay in when your touring around. It was a basic room that was clean, with plenty of space for luggage and to spread out. Decent shower though the bathroom was looking a bit tired. There was no doorknob on the bathroom door! The hotel does meals in the evening and is quite busy so make sure you allow time before the kitchen closes at around 8pm. it's beside an IGA that closes around 7pm.Good for a night and that's probably as long as you'd stay.

Absolutely perfect for simple, clean, warm accommodation with full cooking facilities. A playground for the kids, super quiet and walking distance from Zeehan Golf Club parkrun.
Also walking distance from a delicious dinner at the RSL if you're there on a Friday night (the only night the RSL is open).
Staff were very accommodating.
Beds were comfy.
Plenty of parking.
Absolutely couldn't have been better.

Great location loved the outlook from the glamping tent. So close to Zeehan golf course parkrun. Walking distance to the gaiety and Heemskirk pub where we had a yummy meal. Warm and comfortable!
