A great place to relax in nature with a warm welcome! This beautiful house is located in a quiet, natural setting and features a large, cool pool. The property feels secluded and peaceful, and you have the entire fenced-in grounds to yourself. Everything you need is available, including the option to make your own Bosnian coffee or a regular one if you prefer. If you're interested in making Bosnian coffee, the owners will surely be happy to teach you :) The cottage is easy to find, situated near a main road and close to the town of Stolac, where you can find everything you need (restaurants, a supermarket, pizzeria, a bakery, etc.). The owners are very welcoming and friendly. They made us feel right at home and even put a small magnet from our country on the fridge as a thoughtful touch. They are also open to suggestions and are always available to help. We had a great time and hope to return for another holiday with these kind people!

We had a beautiful stay. Everything was super clean. The place was very cozy. Swimming in the pool is great, especially for families, as the fence prevents anyone from outside from looking into the pool. The Host was very kind.

What an incredible stay we had at Family Sakota Country House! From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed by Svjetlana and Milivoje. Their warmth and genuine hospitality are unmatched. You can see and feel the love and care they have poured into this spacious home, from the tasteful interior to the beautifully maintained garden. The property is simply stunning: a large swimming pool, vast grounds all around the house, and complete privacy and peace. Yet, charming destinations like Mostar, Blagaj and Stolac are only a short drive away. It’s the perfect combination of serene relaxation and cultural day trips. Svjetlana and Milivoje also know all the best places to eat in the region and are happy to share their insider tips. They truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to extend our stay by three extra days. That’s how relaxed and at ease we felt here. They speak a little English, but with the help of Google Translate and ChatGPT they communicate wonderfully. Always with a smile, patience, and all the time in the world to make sure you are happy. You can feel their pride in their property, and rightfully so. For anyone who wants to experience the warmth of the people in this region, combined with a beautiful home, a huge garden and complete tranquillity, this is an absolute must. We leave with warm memories, deep gratitude, and the wish to come back again. Thank you, dear Svjetlana and Milivoje, for giving us such a top-class experience!

Everything was incredibly clean. Everything had a very nice and fresh scent. As soon as I entered the apartment, I immediately felt relaxed. The little stream in front of the apartment was very soothing, and I fell asleep right away to the gentle sound of the water. The owner was very kind, waiting for us even though we arrived late. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone.

This was one of the best value for money places we stayed out throughout our whole trip through Bosnia and Herzegovina. It's super central (just steps from Stolac's main square, next door to a supermarket and within easy walking distance of cafe bars and restaurants) and the host could not have been more helpful and accommodating. He even moved his own car for us so that we could have a more secure parking spot. Would 100% recommend :)

    There are fantastic attractions for prehistorical friends...

    There are fantastic attractions for prehistorical friends like Daorson megalith city and Badanj Cave within 5-6 km. The bogumil stecaks of the Radmilja Necropolis are well reserved and very interesting. Walking arround the river is very romantic with the view to the ruins of the old castle. You can find a lot of lovely restaurants and bars along the rivers. The waterfalls are beautiful, if you are enough brave, you can bath in them too.

    Stolac is rich in history offering beautiful sites from medieval period, a swim in a river Bregava, or a lunch/dinner overseeing river slopes. It's perfect location unwinds the possibilities from swimming in a Adriatic sea in Neum - Bosnia's town on the coastline, only 30 minutes drive from Stolac, or a trip to Mostar. The proximity of airport is another extra incentive for anyone travelling from afar to easily reach this beautiful country and the region. There are countless number of activities for one to explore - from hiking, bike riding or exploring the verity of wineries throughout the surrounding area.

    Stolac is a beautiful historic town with the beautiful Bregava river running through. I love how perfectly positioned Stolac is. We did so many day trips to the surrounding areas i.e. Kravice, Buna, Pocitelj. Everything was within half an hour drive. Also, people of Stolac were very kind and helpful. Highly recommend Stolac as your next destination. I know I will return and very soon ;)

    A wonderful town of Herzegovina grasped in a gorge among the beautiful mountains, halfway between Trebinje and Mostar. A place where time stands still. There is definitely a lot to see here. Pleasant riverfront, impressive waterfalls, the old Vidos fortress on the hill above the town, beautiful old mosques, buildings and bridges. There are also traces of the recent war in the city and a lot of ruins. The best restaurant in Stolac is the Old Town where you can find really cheap and delicious food. From Stolac it is easy to reach the main attractions of the region: the necropolises of Radimlja and the Boljuni, the ruins of the ancient city of Daorson, the church from the 16th century in the village of Oshanichi. Blagaj and Počitel are also nearby.
