It was central to all that we wanted to see and do.
It was central to all that we wanted to see and do. Having a car is important, it makes getting around easier. We did take a hop on hop off bus, as we do in most cities so that it will help us to know more of the history as well saving us a lot of walking. At our ages 77 & 72 walking all day isn't easy. In one day in Bruges, we visited the Grote Markt (Market Square) where we ate lunch, where my husband wanted to try climbing the Belfry tower [366 stairs]but the tickets were sold out and we explored Burg Square and its landmarks. Wish we had taken a canal cruise. For fun we visited the Bruges museum in virtual reality. We ate at several restaurants and found the food very good.
