FAQs about hotels in Brasilia

Fit for a Dream

Located in the very centre of the country, the modernist and monumental Brasilia was built from scratch in the Central Highlands of Brazil. The masterpiece from urban planner Lucio Costa and architect Oscar Niemeyer was inaugurated in 1960 and built in only 5 years. It has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.

Brasilia can be described as the realization of Brazilians dreaming of a better tomorrow, with its broad avenues and futuristic buildings. Oscar Niemayer’s public buildings added beauty and grace to this urban utopia. The Palacio do Planalto, the Federal Congress and the Cathedral are some of those jewels.

A car ride is a must in this city designed for a world of car owners. Once you get to understand the specific sectors in which the city is divided, you’ll manage to navigate without a map!

The hotels in Brasilia are mainly concentrated in the specifically designated, geographic centre of the city: the Setor Hoteleiro, divided in north and south by the Monumental Axis.

A second cluster of Brasilia hotels is located in the Nucleo Bandeirante district, near the President Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport. You can also find some hotels near the shores of the Paranoá Lake.

The city is sprawling and it is a good idea to rent a car.

The city is sprawling and it is a good idea to rent a car. Although, it is possible to get places with Uber and most landmarks are in the main area of the city where you can mostly walk. Be prepared to take a breath from sightseeing Monday's because no public space is open to the public. Try the malls that day instead. Go to the radio tower on Sunday to get the hippie market. It's worth it. Explore some areas outside the city like the botanical gardens and the lake front. It's really beautiful. Also, with a rented car, go out to the surrounding areas and find the hidden waterfalls in the neighboring state.

Brasília is an interesting city to visit once, especially if you enjoy architecture and history. The modernist buildings and the city’s unique design are worth seeing. That said, I don’t think anyone really needs more than three days here. After you’ve checked out the main landmarks — like the Cathedral, the National Congress, and the Palácio da Alvorada — there isn’t much else to do. The city can feel quiet and even a bit boring, especially if you’re looking for lively streets or cultural spots. In my opinion, it’s a “short-stay” destination rather than a place to linger.

It is nice planned city with a history of it own. The natural beauty of the region is in full glory even in the dry season that I visited. The epi blossom season is a good one. The lake is another nice location to visit apart from the usual touristic places. To know the city more, it is important to venture out to mix with the people who are very charming and warm.

    Brasilia has it all.

Brasilia has it all. You can enjoy the day playing sports (at clubs, parque da cidade, at the Paranoa Lake) or enjoy visiting tourist places and the modern architecture of the city. There are also many great restaurants, museums, theather, shows available year round with a great atmospere and fine dining to its best.

We spent 24 hours in Brasilia to see the works of Oscar Niemeyer. A day is sufficient to see all the architectonial masterpieces in the city, and it can easily be done by foot (if the weather is cooperating). A 4-6 mile (6-10 km) walk would cover most of the buildings and landmarks.

Amazing city, the landmarks are beautiful. The city is clean, traffic flow by car was good. Lots of green all round the city. We did not have time to try all the various restaurants the city offers. Will come back next time to see more.

Paid for an airport hotel that does not offer a shuttle service to the airport ! At over 700 reais a night it was very expensive for a room with no bathroom door, no clean bedding and an air conditioner that did not work. The buffet dinner was old and cold and again not good value fot money. Staff are fine but the rest is not.. Top tip do not stay here. Stay somewhere decent in the city centre and get up earlier. This hotel is not worth your time nor money..

Brasilia is a strange place this was in a gated community which is not usually my thing but the pool was really nice, beautiful common areas for strolling and bird watching, the apartment was very nice, good wi-fi, streaming services , free parking, I rented a car , and the hosts were some of the most respsonsive and helpful that I've ever had in my extensive history of travel

Clean and tidy with great facilities and areas to chill. Location was good though in Brasilia you generally have to Uber everywhere anyway. The staff were helpful when we needed their suggestions Air con in the bedrooms overnight was great

The hotel is located very close to Conjunto Nacional. From the roof top you can see the Esplanada dos Ministérios and the Cathedral. The breakfast is very good, the plus side is that you can get tapioca and omeletes prepared to the order.

The location of the hotel is great for exploring the city! The room is comfortable and spacious and everything was very clean when I arrived. Even small the shower is perfect and the bed comfy. The cost benefit ratio fits absolutely.
