Amazing architecture, well described and educational museums...
Amazing architecture, well described and educational museums, very nice polite people, pretty decent food and drink. You need about 4 days overall, to get to know the city, and possibly go back to the places you liked best (if that's your thing when you travel - it is for me). However, the religious thing does get a bit tiring, as does the noise level. Best part of town by a long stretch was Santo Antonio depois do Carmo, which is beyond the Pelourinho. Next to the Hostel there is everything you’ll need, supermarket, bars, restaurant. It’s the perfect are to enjoy the Carnival of Salvador, because you can walk from there to the main street of the Parade, so that you will not spend a fortune for the Uber.
