It was the perfect location as we were at a wedding and 3 families were together. Much rather be together in a house than hotel rooms.

The facilities were perfect for our stay. We had dogs with us who are well behaved and they were also comfortable here. The kitchen had what we needed and more. There was a gas stove for heat that was charming. We really enjoyed the yard in the back for the dogs to get morning exercise. We were a 2 minute walk from the Tomifobia Rail Trail, which was beautiful for morning walks near the river. There was a grocery store nearby as well. Being on the back of the house meant there was little noise from the street, which is quiet at night.

We chose the Auberge Tricorne for the location as we wanted a quiet place to view the eclipse. It was perfect and we could not have chosen a better place. A few kilometres from village of North Hatley, we had a great view from a hill overlooking Lake Masawippi. The hosts Carl and Carole were so friendly and made us feel at home. The breakfasts were top-notch and served in a very nice breakfast room. We chose just the basic standard room but it was fine for our purpose.

Our room was just what we asked for. We have been at the hotel before and we always enjoyed our stay. The front desk with Eric is always a pleasure. He is fast and efficient. In the restaurant Andree was also a gem!

A marvelous hotel, professionally run in an idyllic location. The staff are among the best I have experienced. Two fireplaces in the bar and another in a reading room on the main floor are welcoming and a make for a pleasant place for a glass of wine, to read or simply enjoy the view of the lake. There are guest rooms with fireplaces, although we were not in one of these rooms. The restaurant is deserving of its high rating. The food and service are excellent. I awarded 5 stars to all categories except "room" where I awarded 4. The only reason for this was a rather small bathroom. There are rooms with large, spa like bathrooms. We opted for a price point that meant a smaller, older style bathroom.

Beautiful, peaceful location!

Beautiful, peaceful location! The condo we stayed in was also beautiful and the covered patio was much appreciated. Loved the waterfront with available boating options. The only complaints were the pool (not that clean, difficult stairs) and the restaurant (three times the pretence, the price and the wait; one third the quantity).

Ayer's Cliff is a quite typical and agreeable vacation place to be. Although there is not much to do, the village's streets around the "Principale" display typical anglo-american villas and houses and gives a very quick access to the Tomifobia bike 20 km path. Formidable! Very pleasant shadowed terrace at the Ayer's Cliff Inn, center of the village. Easy access to the wonderful Massawippi lake, the saner I have ever been swimming into. Nothing to avoid in Ayer's Cliff.

Beautiful location, wonderful facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Chess by the roaring fire, board games in the bar, exceptional restaurant. I was there in winter (skating, snow shoes, outdoor fires) would love to go back in the summer and enjoy the lake.
