Being located at the very first step of Cabot Trail, The Motel is perfect for anyone who want to go to Cabot Trail. Very nice place, very nice owner. Vince gave plenty of useful suggestions about places, restaurants and best route to go. Definately recommended!

Amazing hosts, peaceful location, excellent food, a true gem. We saw hummingbirds from the patio at breakfast, used it as a base for Cabot Trail and Fort Louisburg.

We came to Baddeck to hike the Cabot Trail. This location was perfect as it is right at the entrance to the park. There are lots of little restaurants all within walking distance. The Inn is very well appointed. Beds and furnishings were very comfortable.

The Dunlop Inn was amazing for our trip to Cape Breton. It’s a cute little B&B right by the waterfront. The hosts were very warm and welcoming and the breakfast was just as perfect!

We stayed in a two bedroom unit (Unit 11). Property is set amidst a green, hilly area, perfect to relax, right on the Cabot Trail, not too far from Baddeck. The stay was clean and comfortable, had everything one would need in a stay..

The view from the room was astounding . Breakfast was continental self service, and was excellent. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. It was an excellent location for driving around the area. Baddeck is a nice little town with good food. Would recommend and use again if in the area

we didn't stay long enough to get a real feel for the place.

we didn't stay long enough to get a real feel for the place. the ocean side and road trip around the Cabot Trail were the best, stopping at the different parkways on the trip. our hosts were great and informative about the whole experience. The roads are great to travel on. The people are friendly and helpful everywhere we went. The roadside stops were very scenic just as we were told they would be. definitely going back again someday!

We greatly enjoyed Baddeck's Lobster Suppers.

We greatly enjoyed Baddeck's Lobster Suppers. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service given by Carley was excellent. All staff generated a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Bean There Cafe also offered friendly service with delicious coffee. The town is conveniently located for us to travel the Cabot Trail.

Loved the Bell Historical Museum and the drive of the Cabot Trail. Within the town, we found people very helpful and proud of their town. Food was good everywhere and so was service. If you are an "outdoors person", there is more to do than for us indoor city types.

Petty touristy town on the shores of a large lake.

Petty touristy town on the shores of a large lake. Available public parking is horrible as there are too many cars for the available parking. The Bell museum is definitely a must see and worth a couple of hours visit. The boat cruise on the Ameba is a very peaceful afternoon activity. The town can be a base for day trips elsewhere if you are lucky enough to have nice lodging. Terrific breakfast and dinner at the Freight Shed Terrace. Many shops and restaurants are close by and walkable.

Every venue was close.

Every venue was close. “Freight Shed” restaurant was excellent and served the best seafood chowder we have ever had, and we have had seafood chowder all over the east coast! “The High Wheeler deli cafe bakery” was also a favorite for excellent coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. They were friendly, fast and reasonably priced.

We really liked Baddeck and wished we had stayed overnight..

We really liked Baddeck and wished we had stayed overnight.. We went to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum which was free and loved it. It's easy to walk around Baddeck and enjoy the flowers, water and sailboats. Our car battery died while in Baddeck. There is an excellent garage S. J. MacRae & Son in Baddeck. They replaced our battery in a few hours. The Lobster Supper restaurant was recommended to us. It was crowded and we did not wait for a table.

Stunning view! Location: A two minute drive from the St Ann’s Gaelic College where I attended the Cabot Trail Writing Festival. Excellent proximity to Baddeck and the Cabot Trail. Reasonably priced for location and time of year. Very clean. Felt safe as a solo traveller. Having a fridge, microwave, kettle And Coffee maker as well as a toaster was really convenient for a multi night stay and having a light breakfast in my room in the morning.

Dunlop Inn is located on the outskirts of Baddeck but still in close proximity to town centre. This Victorian era house is right on the water unlike centrally located Telegraph House Hotel which is part of the group. Our room was spacious beds comfortable and breakfast perfect The owners live in the property in low season and thus this explains the very homely atmosphere It is a perfect stopover on Cabot Trail

Our family of 4 had a great stay here for one night as we travelled the Cabot Trail. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a bit of a retro vibe. Our kids loved the pool for a nice refreshing dip after a long day. The restaurant on site seemed nice, though we didn't eat there. We enjoyed visiting Baddeck and the family-friendly town there with great restaurants.
