Lovely hotel. Right down the end of Banff Ave so away from the busy part of town, but local bus stops right outside (free bus pass is provided by the hotel) and the free ski shuttle to 3 mountains is just across the road. The hot pools were amazing, such a beautiful setting. Nice sauna, no cold plunge pool but standing outside in the snow is a quick way to cool off. Good cafe/restaurant on site. Spacious bedroom with plenty of daylight and balcony. Nice touches like a feature wall which is a map of the region and canoe shaped drawer handles.

Great location, cleanliness, staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and was perfect for our family of four. Appreciated the nespresso machine in the room and the coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. The heated garage and driveway were very nice as well.

Really nice hotel based around 15 minutes walk from Banff town. Rooms are spotlessly clean . We had a King suite with a balcony. Small but nice breakfast buffet. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Very family orientated. Would highly recommend

Nice hotel in the center of Banff. Very nice price for the room. We were not interested in a room with a beautiful view, we only needed to stay overnight. Service is super. The rooms are well maintained. It is possible to have breakfast on site ( for a fee ) . Late check in, good wi fi , and if you like natural shampoos - they have them here. Cool👍

    Banff is a great town!

    Banff is a great town! An hour away from Lake Louise and Lake Moraine and the beginning of the Icefields Parkway. Great places to eat! We ate at the Elk & Oarsman, which is changing it's name to just the Elk. Food was great, service excellent, and the view from the rooftop dinning was spectacular! It is a tourist town, but a great place to base a trip to Banff National Park.

    Very much a tourist town, parking is an issue throughout the entire area. Beautiful area, Use tour company or transfer buses from train depot to get to Lake Louise and Lake Morraine, private vehicles not allowed.

    Nice Main Street with lots of touristy shops. Plenty of places to eat. Wouldn’t want to visit in the main season as it was busy when we were there in September. Loads to see and do in the surrounding area with great transport links to the Gondola, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the other tourist hot spots.

    Banff is a great place with a super vibe based on the beauty of the forest and mountains. Kids working the restaurants and bars are really nice. In September, we didn’t find it noisy or too crowded but just right. You can easily drive or bike to many local attractions. I recommend a E bike.

    Banff was a great a place to shop but parking was a problem...

    Banff was a great a place to shop but parking was a problem though I had a handicapped sign. The 9 hour tour we took in a 14 passenger van was wonderful. It is a beautiful park. I would recommend the Viator tour. We did hike the Hoodoo Trail near our Banff rocky Mountain resort and enjoyed Canmore, too as we are skiers. The Legacy bike trail was amazing though we did not bring our bikes this time.

    Banff is a community that provides so many opportunities for activities, from hiking to horseback riding and whitewater rafting to great dining experiences. All of this nestled in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Truly an incredible experience.

    We were only supposed to stay one night in Banff but because of a mistake on our part we had to stay another night, I wasn’t willing to book another night at the Banff Springs hotel as it was over priced so I chose the Peaks. We were pretty rattled when we check in but Colin at reception was amazing, the hotel was awesome and very reasonably priced for Banff. If you’re going to Banff ditch the overpriced bigger hotels and stay here! Highly recommended. And a big shout out to kiwi Colin, he saved our bacon!

    The hotel was in a fabulous location within a short walk to restaurants and the main shopping strip. A great breakfast was included in our booking. There is a guest laundry and a delightful outdoor pool and fireplace area. Our room was spacious with two basins, a sitting room and bedroom. Rodney and Joel at reception were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is popular with tour groups. I highly recommend Banff Aspen Lodge.

    The resort hotel is just a short hop on the bus from the centre of Banff and staff on the front desk provided us with free travel passes for the duration of our stay which enabled us to reach the Banff gondola and Lake Minnewanka free of charge. The resort comprises cabin/chalet-style accommodation which allows you to feel close to nature. A patio window and seating area outside added to the attraction.
