Very quiet and peaceful. The fire pit/bbq area was outstanding! There was even a children's play area if you have little ones with you. Cottage was very tastefully appointed!

Everything was perfect. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the owner had provided everything to make it comfortable and a real home away from home. The trail leading to arch rock from the cottage is well marked and easy. I did it with my 9 year old. The area is beautiful, lots to see. We stayed for 2 nights but wished we had longer.

It’s a great place to stay.

It’s a great place to stay. Very quiet and beautiful scenery. Walking around the town is the best option. If into hiking, there is a 7.7 km hike just minutes from the Harbourside Inn. I was told there are no restaurants in port union but it’s a short 22 minute drive to bonavista which is worth checking out. The Factory is a good place to pick up souvenirs and also the women’s craft store.

This is a small town with some historical significance, but it is really quite small. If you’re not paying close attention, you could probably see everything within half an hour. Unfortunately, the museum was closed during my visit, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the town is suitable for a brief stopover rather than an extended stay.

Folks should know (especially older people or those who may have mobility issues) that there are many stairs to negotiate both inside and out. The picture of the front does not show another set of I think 8 cement steps with no handrail..

This place is very tired. Needs an upgrade.

This place is very tired. Needs an upgrade. Stale smell and stained sheets, old pillows, dirty carpets and upholstery in chairs. Ripped linoleum in entrance way. We did have access to streaming tv which was a bonus. The restaurant was just passable.
