You have to learn French. Seriously.
You have to learn French. Seriously. I repeat, you have to learn a lot more French than the survival French you think you are good with. They speak so fast. They understand your shitty French but you don't understand them. Townspeople are very nice people. Bring coins for bus. Transit App may not work. Cell signal is bad sometimes. Take a paper map for free at Bureau Tourisme. Taxi is shit. Read Google reviews. The boardwalk and bike path along the river are very pleasant. Some of the older restaurants in center town are very retro. Went to "La Maison du Spaghetti" and it was not only excellent food but it looked like we were sitting on the set of one of the Godfather movies.
