A wonderful place that has historical sites, modern amenities, and friendly people. We visited the Reversing Falls, ate at Beer Bread Pizza (absolutely fantastic pizzas) and spent the evening listening to music in the Market square outside of our hotel . On our second day in Saint John we met up with family and walked through the visited the City Market, the Container Village and ate at Steamers Lobster Co. great food will definitely eat there again! I can't forget to mention the Market Square that is full of shops and places to eat or stop for a rest! All this right outside our Hilton Hotel.Guest review byTzikas - 8.0

I had not been back to Saint John in 30 years.
I had not been back to Saint John in 30 years. The city has not changed very much. It looks like the Harbour area has been enhanced for all the cruise ships coming into port. It appeared that the city has a problem with homeless (as do most cities these days). There were many tent camps around town. We used the town as a hub for bird watching around the area. There is a beautiful park just at the edge of town to the west. We only had one evening in Saint John as part of our 11 day tour through the maritime provinces. This was our last stop before driving home. The city is bustling and I would imagine that it gets busy in the summer months. We enjoyed walking along the waterfront and took in the "Container" Village on the pier. lots of fun little shops and even a KISS Cover band concert was gearing up to start that evening. The city is dissected by a throughway, which runs right next to the hotel. Traffic noise wasn't ever a problem, but I had to learn a pedestrian-safe way to cross this highway. Once I connected with a local taxi service, my trip went more smoothly. The taxi drivers were always personable and had excellent knowledge of the city, and fares were very reasonable. The downtown area of Saint John has wonderful restaurants and bars.
