We love beautiful quaint Wiarton and the gorgeous Bruce Peninsula and miss being up here on bi-yearly visits to family and friends. We always go to Bluewater Park and tour around the places we know and love. Very easy to get around but if coming up highway 6N or even the 7N, get your gas in Hepworth as there is no longer a gas station in Wiarton to fill up before leaving- how weird is that? We ordered pizza and it came vey fast and was hot and tasty. We will be back of course as we have so much family history and wonderful memories in Wiarton and the whole area

Wiarton is a great place to explore.

Wiarton is a great place to explore. Well you are here, you should also venture to Tobermory. You must stop and eat at Elsie's Diner on Shane Road off Hwy 6. Amazing 50's themed diner. Great people, delicious food.

As a business trip the locale was of limited concern.

As a business trip the locale was of limited concern. It is a vacation destination for summer and winter activities and is known for February 2 Wiarton Willy. One problem for early risers is a limited breakfast option. The main street reconstruction a few years past has it looking very welcoming with on street parking. For a small community it gives the impression of having held on through the pandemic.

Wiarton was the spot we choose because of the Shenstone Inn's reasonable pricing and central location to many nice beaches and attractions/towns in the area. Wiarton itself surprised us with the nice waterfront and the Spirit Rock Conservation Area just north of town.

Main street is under heavy construction right now.

Main street is under heavy construction right now. Not a lot of choices for dining out, but that probably had a lot to do with the pandemic, the construction and the time of year we visited (after labor day). Has a Tim Horton's beer and liquor store and a grocery store.

We stayed here in 2024 and thought well enough of it to book again in 2025. The rooms are much larger than most hotels. The furnishings are older, but work well and provide a lot of storage. The beds are very comfortable. It has a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The TV is a flatscreen. There are patio doors to a quiet, tree-lined yard. The restaurant closes at 2 p.m. The meals are generous and reasonably priced. It has a large menu.

Located directly on the water, in the tranquil Wiarton, the accomodation simply offers everything you could wish for a relaxing vacation. The apartment is a jewel, clean, comfortable and the view of the lake is simply fantastic. The sunset can be enjoyed wonderfully comfortable on a jetty directly on the lake. And not to forget, Patty, the host, is very reliable and extremly helpful.

Property is large and has a lovely gazebo at the waters edge great place to sit and enjoy the sunset. Breakfast available just 600m down the highway opens at 8 am it seems nothing else except Tim Hortons available before 11 am in the town of Wiarton.

Pillows were not so tightly puffed up and large like some hotels. The blinds were better, really blocked out the early morning light. We needed our rest. Beds were perfect semi firmness . Some hotels the beds are like rocks. The key fobs are the cutest hotel key fobs Ive ever seen

I think book.com over priced the place and not worth for money. I do not book any hotel from book.com since they are misleading the information.
