Beautiful little town.
Beautiful little town. Lake brienz cruise is the perfect start to the trip. Can't visit the waterfalls around the lake or just walk along the promenade. A tiny village in the centre of Switzerland. The place full of flowers, gorgeous gardens, happy people living there. One can even feel the calmness which fills every nook, every street or path of this place. Go there, don't rush yourself (what for?) and relax taking a stroll. Iseltwald is a lovely plce for you to stay if you are senior citizens and happy to make your own sandwiches. It is quiet and fabulous if you like drinking your whiskey in the balcony looking at the lake and surrounding mountains in a quiet atmostphere.It is blessed with exceptional views . There are some restaurants around but not so great in terms of the quality of food . The only shop/post office closes at 5 pm. Iseltwald is a quiet village but it is a really good base to travel to surrounding areas. The lake is extremely beautiful with the turquoise water and there are activities to do on the lake, eg, rowing, a ferry, etc. One needs a car to get around to other places of interest from Iseltwald but it is very central to get to Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Schilthorn, etc.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom
