Kandersteg is a beautiful place for hiking and outdoor activities. I highly recommend to go to the Oeschenesee, it was one of our favorites on our trip. The apartment was spacious and had a terrific view from the balcony. Free parking was close by and checking in was a breeze. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and the refrigerator was good sized. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for 5 adult guests. Kandersteg is a really lovely valley and town - not as touristy as other places but really beautiful and charming. Easy travels whether on foot or from train and bus stops. Plenty of places to stop for coffee or buy a snack. Sunnbüel, Oeschinensee and Blausee are a must see. Such a cute little town to spend a couple of days in! I wish I had stayed more than a night, but at this time of year I'm not sure there would have been that much more to do if I were staying a week or something. Located in quick walking distance to all the shops and supermarkets in the center of Kandersteg, as well as to the cablecars taking you to Oeschinensee and Allmenalp. Rooms are minimalistic, but seem to have been renovated recently, and are perfectly suited for staying a few nights. Room was spacious and very comfortable. We were there Monday and Tuesday when the hotel restaurant was closed so we had little contact with staff, but breakfast was very enjoyable.
