It's mostly a ski-town, located in a steep valley with multiple gondolas leading up either the northern (to Illgau) or southern ridge (to Stoos) to nearby towns. For the adventurous, there are paths to hike up the cliffs on either side, or go below the surface at the Holloch cave. There are more relaxing trails in the canyon as well, like the Witz-wanderweg from Stoos to Muotathal. The hotel was conveniently located and very comfortable - and if we would decide to visit the area again, we would have no hesitation in booking at the Gasthaus Post again. Claudia and the team were friendly and helpful. And the breakfasts and dinners we had at the hotel were very good.
