The buffet breakfast from the 28th floor had great variety and was very tasty and fresh. The 28th floor is rotating and the views from there are so good. The rooms are spacious and clean, bigger than 90% of what you would find in China. The staff at Yuehai hotel were all friendly and helpful, we would often chat with them and since we stayed there for 17 nights, by the end of our stay we all knew each other haha. The cleaner on the 20th floor was especially lovely and would often chat with my grandma while cleaning her room, so that was greatly appreciated and very nice of her. The location of the hotel is also good, with heaps of shops and restaurants right next to it.

Such a great hotel. So comfortable and clean. I took the room on the high floor and had a great view. Everything was clean and in great condition, the staff were friendly, breakfast had a great variety, and I had the best time. Highly recommend. I don't speak Chinese, but the staff had very efficient translation apps, and there were no issues in communication. Book with confidence.

    We came to Zhengzhou to see the Shaolin temple, and we also...

    We came to Zhengzhou to see the Shaolin temple, and we also ended up seeing the Longmen Grottoes. Both sites are outside of Zhengzhou, so upon reflection, we could have stayed in Luoyan instead, which is much nicer. There is not much to see in Zhengzhou itself.

    Sadly, I was not in the city for long enough to see any attractions this time. I did eat at 2 restaurants in the city with my work colleagues and the food was great. The people in Zhengzhou were friendly and helpful and I felt completely safe there. I look forward to going back and staying longer, so I can see local attractions.

    Zhengzhou is a lively place and great for shopping and street food. You can get great deals at the street markets near the city of Joy plaza, also really tasty food from street vendors. We used here as a base to visit the Yellow River but it is further away from other tourist sites. Would go back for the bargins and the cultural experience - really felt like we were in China!

    The breakfast is generally neutral, though the soup hasn't been very well received, as observed over the past three days, it was mostly left untouched by guests. The hotel's location next to the train station offers a convenient and enjoyable travel experience, with easy access to destinations like Xi'an, Beijing, for distant travel, and many others.

    Absolutely wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of options. The location was perfect, just a short walk from all the major attractions. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!
