We had a wonderful stay at Awatawaa! The Caribbean water is perfect for swimming. The resort and beach are clean and secluded. If you're looking for partying and night clubs, this is not your scene. If you love nature, birds, relaxation, swimming in a calm seas, extremely friendly helpful staff, this is the place. We will be back again! Rooms: This is an eco-lodge. Not air conditioned. Temps are moderate as it is ocean-front. The bungalows are comfortable airy and with mosquito netting around each bed and private bathrooms with each room. Noteworthy details: The owners and staff are awesome hosts, and are committed to environmental responsibility and sustainability. They will bend over backwards to make your stay special.

We actually extended our stay because we liked it a lot. Staff was very helpful with things related to the stay and unrelated to it. The beachy and adventurous property feels like you are in a little piece of paradise. The walk through mangroves to a private beach is a blessing.
