    Central location, comfortable room.

    Central location, comfortable room. The pool was really lovely to sit near and relax, cool off. Staff was exceptional and helpful in all manners. Receptionist helped me book all of my activities and was super accommodating. The restaurant staff were so friendly, and even remembered my name after I came a few times. Very convenient to have on site. It had everything I coud want and price was reasonable. I already want to go back and will book there again.

    It was very remote.

    It was very remote. We spent three nights there and enjoyed early active mornings and chill afternoons with an early dinner and bedtimes. There's not much to do at night which was fine by us. We loved watching the town wake up in the morning. We went diving at Cano Island and loved the turtles and all of the varieties of fish. The water was so clear when we went, it was one of the better diving experiences in Costa Rica so far!

    Fantastic stay.

    Fantastic stay. Exactly as described except wifi didn't work in our room, we had to go to the office/breakfast area to use it. The views from the room were spectacular overlooking Drake Bay. We had daily visits from capuchins, macaws, parrots, hummingbirds, etc The beds were comfortable as were the chairs and hammocks on the porch. Handrails going up the steep tire steps to the room would have been helpful. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious and made to order.

    Great place to stay if you want to visit Corcovado national...

    Great place to stay if you want to visit Corcovado national park. Not only Corcovado is worthwhile but Drake Bay itself as well. I would recommend taking the boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay as it’s very convenient and the boat ride is extremely scenic!

    Very nice peaceful place, at the grounds of a friendly costarican family, right on the edge of the rainforest. Beautiful Ganadito beach is at walking distance. The cabin where we slept was new and fine.

    The flora and fauna of adjacent parks is amazing but you...

    The flora and fauna of adjacent parks is amazing but you must visit them with a guide for the appropriate access and to really appreciate what is there. Drake is a the ideal place from which to reach the parks. We travelled to Drake Bay by intercity bus from San Jose and connected with the ferry. The "wet landing" was a first for us - a genuine adventure where the ferry assistants wade your luggage to shore on their shoulders and the passengers just focus on getting themselves to shore. The ferry takes an hour or so through amazing mangroves. Make sure to tell your hotel to book you on the ferry to avoid misunderstanding -- there are only two ferries per day and you don't want to lose a day/night in Sierpe. The park is amazing --book a tour well in advance as daily entries are limited. Access to the park is by boat. Birds galore, several species of monkey including the mighty howler, tapirs, two species of ant eater, and many more creatures. We did the snorkeling tour too which was also amazing. We saw deep sea turtles, sharks, manta rays and a plethora of species of fish. Beautiful, pristine and rules about not interrupting wildlife. For example, we were watching a turtle and she started to rise for air and we all had to move back 4-6 metres and we had the joy of then watching her float on the surface for a while and just rock in the waves.     A fantastic location close to Drake Bay and Corcovado National Park. The family owning the place is doing a great job, the rooms are made every day, the food tastes very good and they give advices and organize tours if requested. All this for a very fair price for the area. I recommend the place to everyone looking for a simple, yet very nice and authentic accommodation.

    Comfortable property in beautiful gardens in a quiet part of Drake Bay. Helpful staff who looked after our luggage when we went on an overnight trip to the Sirena station. Responsive to messages and helpful with booking our boat spaces from Sierpe and back. The rooms were large and had AC and fridges - both appreciated in the hot and humid weather.

    We got a simple room with a drake bay view. In our room no AC but a fan, was ok. All was ok, especially the host super friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be served upon request. You can use the common room, kitchen, fridge. Also the food in the local restaurant was very good. Beach and place to buy beer is nearby, minutes away.
