The owners are friendly and accommodating. They gave me great recommendations for places to visit. The property is gated and feels very safe, and provides a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the town. My room was very clean and comfortable. The room had a refrigerator, the shared kitchen had the equipment for making simple meals or reheating leftovers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Boho Tamarindo. Boho Tamarindo is quirky, stylish and right in the heart of Tamarindo. Jo was so lovely, super friendly and gave us an amazing run down when we arrived about where to eat, activities etc. and super helpful throughout our stay whenever we had any questions. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We had to leave bright and early the following day, so Jo had packed on-the-go food packs for us, which was so lovely. We would definitely stay here again

First things first; the staff here are friendly, welcoming and always ready to assist - with a smile! They truly made me feel so welcome and they are all small rays of sunshine to brighten your day!! My room had everything I needed with a nice patio overlooking the pool - perfect for catching up on work. Internet was fast and had no issues the whole time I was there and breakfast is delicious and made at your leisure. The bed is comfy and the small beach area next to the pool is great for an afternoon snooze.

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The service was warm and attentive, the location just steps from the beach was unbeatable, and the food – simply delicious every single day! Surfing with the kids was such a fun experience – safe, exciting, and unforgettable. And for the little animal lovers: the resort is full of wildlife! We saw monkeys, raccoons, adorable squirrels, and even iguanas. If you’re looking for relaxation, comfort, adventure, and a welcoming atmosphere for the whole family, this is the place to be.     Town is just big enough that there are lots of shops, restaurants, and things to do. Gorgeous beach also. But small enough that you can walk everywhere. It's a good base for the northwest area but doing a day trip to a volcano or other sights is hours each way.

    The most wonderful vibrant town! Will definitely be back. Recommend dinner and music at L'Estanco El Jardin Escondido & dancing at El Garito. Also enjoyed my surf lesson booked with Tamarindo Surf & Tours through Localbird.

    I absolutely love Costa Rica and extremely dislike Tamarindo. Tamarindo is the opposite of the soul of Costa Rica. Driving into Tamarindo from anywhere else on the pacific coast is a complete shock - a nosedive into consumerism, price gauging, bad food, constant harassment from vendors, laced with a background of drugs and overall sketchiness, and all dressed up in a sellers mask of "pura vida"... but believe me when I say there is no pura vida in Tamarindo.

    Tamarindo has a nice beach, but way too many tourists. There are a lot of hotels and restaurants in a small amount of space. I felt claustrophobic. Lots of wealth in the area mixed with pobreza. Appears to be mostly Americans and Europeans with the wealth.

    We left Canada on a snowy day and arrived to 34C heat; very warm. The local people are very friendly and seem to appreciate tourists, even those like us, who don’t speak Spanish. The town is definitely a tourist town with many shops and restaurants. The sunsets can be remarkable and we were surprised to see so many of the locals arriving on the beach to appreciate the sun disappearing and watch the sky’s afterglow that followed.

    Tamarindo had the most vibrant vibe out of the areas I...

    Tamarindo had the most vibrant vibe out of the areas I visited in the area. Its got a great beach, nightlife and many good dining options. I did get propositioned one time (at 7pm) but was probably the only single male walking around (it was off season and few foreign tourists, mostly locals). I politely say no thank you and that was the end of it. I felt completely safe diving and walking around, even at night. I ate a several local restaurants outside my hotel and had great meals at each. Surfing in the main draw here, but there are lots of excursions in the area.

    The breakfast was excellent, always fresh, service was excellent and a great variety. We were travelling with ages 9 through 75 and there was something for everyone each and every day. The staff is the best, friendly, helpful, supportive and committed to ensuring we had a great visit. We were there over Christmas and asked if they could pick up a Christmas tree for the children, they got us one, set it up, and decorated it. This was our second visit to Costa Rica, we have stayed here both times, and if we go again would stay at Ten North.

    Absolutelyyyy loved it here, stunning. Stunning sea view room, stunning view of the sea and gardens from the pool. Very friendly and helpful staff, great on-site shop. Tasty breakfast with music in the morning which gives everything a nice vibe. Nice live music on some of the evenings. Great shuttle service that’s included in the hotel package! It takes you to Tamarindo town and the local beach which is sooo convenient!

    This is a fab hotel which is well located for the centre of Tamarindo. The rooms are great - bed is comfy, AC works well and showers are hot. The breakfast is fabulous - a wonderful way to start the day! The staff are all so friendly and helpful, assisting us in booking tours. You can be in the bars and restaurants of Tamarindo within 5mins and the beach in 10mins. We loved the hotel so much we extended our stay!

    We loved this place! it was very nicely decorated, super clean and comfortable and very close to the beach. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable and there was also a shared outdoor kitchen for guests. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. This was one of our favourite stays in Costa Rica!
