What a beautiful part of an island! I think it's the best. Mostly rocks and gorgeous view (outside and in water - definitely get mask with you!) but you can also find safe place to swim with kids. Cute city, good food, a lot of space to walk around and to have a long walk beside the sea. And of course you can enjoy it fully only with car or anything alike. Coming from that area and seen the area being developed I know Protaras for over 50 years and it is my favour part of the island. Perfect for young families and also grown up people as it is not a rowdy holiday resort. We went for the annual Moonwalk, amazing as usual. Restaurants and bars excellent and varied, every taste catered for. Found the bars a bit noisy on the weekend as they compete with each other.
