If you want to get off the tourist track, try Jihlava! The town itself has a charming square that is not stuck in time - this is a normal Czech town with a super ugly shopping center right in the middle of the square. Also in the center, there are tours of catacombs under the town and a zoo. Jihlava is a quiet small central european town.
Jihlava is a quiet small central european town. It has a lot of charming architechture particularly in the old town and areas near there. The locals were helpful despite my not speaking Czech language. The journey here was for me to see someone I care about deeply which is why I could have stayed far longer. Getting around Jihlava is really simple. In the heart of the old town everything is a short walk to you. A standard room was very nice and there even was a bathtub! Complimentary water was provided, and there was also a fully equipped minibar. The breakfast had everything that I needed and even some extras. The personnel was kind enough to allow me to arrive a bit earlier and stay a bit longer. The price for the room was low according to EU standards. During my next visits to Jihlava would certainly stay here again. Better than some 4* hotels in the city.Guest review byStanislawPoland
