We loved venturing out on our adventures to see other parts of the country. It is very a beautiful area! People are very accommodating and helpful. Great garden and park, get ready for some serious walking! The castle and associated activities close at 16.00, but park remains open 24/7, So best if you plan ahead. Absolutely wonderful castle and the adjacent park - have visited for hundred times and never get tired of it... interesting to see the ponds drained and being cleaned, recommend visiting in the evening - not so many people, romantic atmosphere... the gardens are just magnificent... There are so many other places that you can visit for...
There are so many other places that you can visit for historical sightseeing in the vicinity of Lednice, and the public bus transport is pretty cheap and works well. There are lots of bike trip routes. There are places where you can go swimming. And I highly recommend taking a plane trip in Breclav after you visit some towns, it's amazing to see from the sky all the places that you had visited.
