Location, Room, Service… everything was Perfect. Actually, I’m speechless how was good to stay there. Wake up in the morning and see the mountains and the cows with the Bavarian bells, unforgettable. Amazing Stay — The Best Accommodation of Our Trip! Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! This was hands down the best accommodation of our entire trip! From the moment we checked in, I absolutely loved every corner of this guesthouse — the interior design, the thoughtful decoration, the color palette, the quality of the furnishings — everything was done with great taste and care. You can really feel the host’s heart and dedication behind it all. (As an Airbnb host myself, I truly admire how this host goes the extra mile!) The host was very responsive, even though it’s a self check-in/out guesthouse and we didn’t meet in person. Communication was always fast and helpful. We were even offered an early check-in without requesting it — such a warm and thoughtful gesture, even though we arrived at 4 PM. It left a great first impression. The house has a beautiful mix of antique charm and modern comfort. Our room was tastefully decorated, well-organized, and had everything we needed. The bathroom was small but very well equipped — good water pressure and a reliable water heater. The bed, linens, pillow, and blanket were all incredibly comfortable and spotless. We stayed for just 2 nights (though I honestly wish we could stay for months!). The entire place was sparkling clean. Common areas like the kitchen were cleaned daily, and trash was taken out regularly. The kitchen itself was fully equipped — perfect for making a simple breakfast. Fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, induction stove, pots, pans, oil, salt, cutlery — everything you might need was there. My absolute favorite spot was the balcony. Every floor has a lovely one, and our room even had a small private balcony. The larger balcony was perfect for enjoying a coffee or tea, reading a book, or simply sitting and soaking in the peaceful view. I can only imagine how magical it must be in autumn with golden leaves or during the wintertime.

We spent 3 nights here to visit Berchestgaden and Konigsee...

We spent 3 nights here to visit Berchestgaden and Konigsee lake. We managed all of those things, including a boat ride on the lake to the church which was well worth it. Although I can imagine in the summer would be a bit overwhelmingly busy. We visited the Documentation Centre about the 2nd world war. It is presented very well, I feel everyone should see something like this so we can appreciate the freedom we have and try to live more peacefully. The Rossfeld panoramic drive was amazing with great views. A beautiful walk through the Marchenpfad forest with lovely wood carvings all the way through was very calming and relaxing. I wish we'd had more time to do more walks in the local area and maybe factor in a bit of relaxation time just looking at the mountains.

Gasthaus Elvira is located cost to buy connections and also with great views of mountains such as watzmann. Several hiking opportunities directly from the stay. Also good for short trip to Salzburg, Königsee etc. Breakfast was extensive and plentiful. Rooms were very cozy. Hosts make sure that we are happy and gave us hiking tips. I would recommend it again.

House is located in a small village on slope of a hill. Views from the balcony and through the kitchen window are impressive - forest and mountains. Birds are singing around. Just few minutes of driving to Berchtesgaden. There is a path passing by the house on which you can hike to the city and reach many tourist attractions. Apartment is equipped solidly - everything what you may need for holiday stay. Sleeping room and bathroom are without reproaches. We were happy about our choice.

We absolutely loved our stay at Watzmann. The window mountain views and location were breathtaking. Berchtesgaden was our favourite town we have ever been to. We were welcomed to the apartment with open arms, shown where everything was, and were given advice on local visits we wanted to do. We knew she would have been right there for us should we have needed anything. The apartment was extremely clean and we wished we could have stayed for longer.

The hotel is unique and the views are stunning. The owner’s are lovely, communication was excellent and it was the best vegan food I had managed to find in days. The Drunken Goat was a pleasant surprise. Good food & beer.
