Super comfortable beds, everything cleaned to perfection, proper blackout curtains, quiet, modern, and the best for a heat wave: central cooling system that you can also control in the room. Would definitely recommend it, though it's not on the cheap side. It's still worth it if you want something reliable.

Hotel Tante Alma has a homely and retro feel about it. There is an enormous poster of Mahatma Gandhi on the ground floor and there are many items in the lobby and the corridors that feel like 70s antique. There are tibetan flags in the lobby if I remember well. It gives the hotel a very characteristic, friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Staff are exceedingly friendly and internet is good. The beds are excellent. The shower was fine, though in my room (at the end of the hallway) the hot water took a long time to arrive. Breakfast is simple but excellent. The hotel is meticulously clean. I felt very at home in Tante Alma.

    Bonn has not been bombed during WWII, therefore it has the largest well-conserved late 19th century urban area in Germany (Suedstadt). To be mentioned also, the Poppelsdorf Schloss and its wonderful restaurant situated within the Botanical Garden, the Poppelsdorfer Allee and the beautiful Rhine promenade in easy reach.

    Having worked in Bonn for many months in the past, its always lovely to come back to this lovely city! Many local attractions, bars and restaurants within walking distance - I recommend Brauhaus Bonnsch. Alte Zoll (riverside bier garden) and the bars and restaurants near Paulaner.

    We used Bonn as a base to discover the region during Christmas holiday. The Christmas market in Bonn is the most beautiful I have seen. The city itself does not have a lot of sights but is very pleasant with many shops, cafes and restaurants. Make this your base for visits to Cologne and Koblenz.

    Know the town for 30 years - it has dramatically become worser during the last 3-4 years. Dirty, unsecure, bad traffic-connections - you see a down going down! And the people are more and more unfriendly, stressed, depressive - it is a pity, what happens with Bonn.

    We only spent a day in Bonn and we would like to return for exploring the city and the center a bit more. We were positively surprised by the long paths along the river that allow to walk or run for hours.

    Very friendly staff. Good sized single room with a balcony and very pleasant view of trees and greenery. Excellent en-suite bathroom. Nice design inside the hotel. Close to good local shops and also a short walk to the Bundeshaus (Federal House), the brilliant House of the History of the Federal Republic of Germany (Haus der Geschichte) and the River Rhine. Amazing price for the room and really excellent value.

    The hotel is situated very close to the Bonn central station - convenient for train travellers. There is a large and very comfortable lobby where one can order drinks and relax. The staff is very friendly. The room was quiet and the bed very comfortable.
