Overall amazing, you can just google stuff and see the beautiful sights. The only issue which most travelers will see it as a problem is lack of Uber or other apps. In early September the city was busy without feeling overcrowded. The great majority of tourists seemed to be German. Highly recommend the paddle steamer trips on the Elbe - we went to Meissen and returned by train. The two art galleries - the Albertinum and the Alte Meister in the Zwinger are excellent - with a good selection of Caspar David Friedrich and his contemporaries. It's extraordinary to look at the all the elegant C18th. architecture now and to compare it with the blackened ruins of 1945. Even more extraordinary to think that much of the reconstruction was don by the GDR. There is lundry machine and a small kitchen in the apartment, making it is convienent and cost effective for a longer stay.
