The Great North is a true gem! The revamped interior is stunning, from rooms to restaurant, with beautiful decor in every corner, impressive photography on the walls, and gorgeous lighting fixtures - truly reminiscent of the most stylish hotels in metropolitan cities. The gardens are gorgeous, the staff warm and welcoming, and even our 6-year-old felt at home everywhere. Dinner was delicious with the right variety of tasty, locally-sourced dishes, and the breakfast buffet was a feast — fresh, diverse, including a juice maker and cooked-to-order eggs. Our beds were super comfortable, even the fold-out one for our daughter. The indoor walkway to the thermal baths was a welcome convenience, and we had a great time playing in the water and relaxing at the exceptional sauna & spa. Stylish, friendly, and perfectly relaxing, with exceptional attention to every detail — we’ll be back!

Great little hotel! Much nicer than we expected. Super friendly staff. Immaculate rooms. Lovely breakfast. We ate dinner in the conservatory and really enjoyed that too. Best to make a reservation in advance if possible as they are busy. We will return.

The rooms are clean, comfortable and nice, the view and surroundings are green and quiet. The breakfast is exceptional and they go the extra mile to make adjustments to your requests. I got a great verity of vegan and gluten free products every breakfast which exceeded my expectations. Helpful and friendly staff that helped me above and beyond with everything I needed. Amazing huge room. A beautifully decorated place throughout. Loads of space to relax. Good breakfast and delicious evening meal. Definitely worth another visit.
