    Good as the base for outdoor activities like hiking and biking. Our kind of vacation wasn't based on what the town has to offer, but on the surrounding nature, so I can't say much about the tourist's attractions in the town. Sometimes there's a problem to find a place to eat. You have to reserve a place in the restaurant in order to get there. The fact that most of the restaurants have the same days off is not helping too. Generally speaking, nice place. Not cheap though.

    Schluchsee is lovely.

    Schluchsee is lovely. The location is perfect, 20min to titisee and, 20 min to feldberg (highest peak with cable lifts), 50 min to schaffhaussen or basel, 50 min to Freiburg. In the summer period the see is so nice with boats and beaches everywhere. Just a great place

    The price was definitely reasonable and I liked it a lot. For the fact it was an apartment house, we enjoyed very nice sauna and indoor pool. Most of all the hotels open their sauna from earliest 11 AM but we were able to enjoy it earlier before checkout. Staffs were very friendly and made sure everything is comfortable. I’ll for sure come back to stay again.

    Lovely place in the heart of Black Forest. Walking distance to the Schluchsee lake, the room are big and very comfortable. The hotel is family owned and the atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast then is really excellent. Furthermore in the evening the restaurant offers typical local dishes. In summary it was an excellent experience

    We stayed there for a weak in the off season and had a wonderful time. I honestly do not know what could be improved. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the location is really nice and the SPA area great, I could imagine though that the latter could get a bit crowded, if the hotel is really fully booked.

    This dog friendly hotel is a real gem - however staff attitudes need some attention. A lovely place in a lovely area - and very much a Black Forest property. The room, cleanliness, facilities etc were all excellent.
