We stayed as an alternative to Heidelberg.
We stayed as an alternative to Heidelberg. We brought bikes with us and cycled to Heidelberg instead. There's a lovely cycle route via Dossenheim through the vineyards which is really pretty and traffic free. Although the hotel is at the very edge of the village and uphill it's not very steep and was easily manageable on the bikes.Guest review byGillianUnited Kingdom

The beds were a bit hard, specially the 3rd bed but of course this depends on what you prefer. No airconditioning but a fan and we slept well. They told us we had a view on the garden, this wasn't exactly like that. We looked at the building on the other side. The rooms are good isolated. Travelling from the Netherlands it was a perfect place to stop and very near the highway plus a benzinstation in the place near the hotel when you drive up to the highway. IGuest review byJiskaItaly

We managed to leave our wash bag behind when checking and once realising the mistake I contacted the hotel who then sent it onwards for us via DHL. We had a superb dinner the night of our stay in their restaurant and it’s probably the most dog friendly hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Two toilets and two bathrooms were appreciated for five adults! Staff was helpful. The streets are narrow and do not allow parking, but there is a free car park nearby for any length of stay.
