Solingen is a nice city, easy to go by train and bus anywere, at information ponit in train station was not helpful, because the person there was not able to give solution to our needs because both ticket machine weren't working, instead, the girl at bookstore/grocery close by was so nice, and gave us the solution for train ticket and we purchased tickets there. The center of the city was quite pedestrian zone and ease to walk around, a lot of cafe bar restaurant near by,. The train station from the cente was around 300m away, in the begining of pedestrian zone. We spend some hours at bars there watching fotball game and have some good beer too. The breakfast served at some nice italian restaurant, macdonalds and donner kebab were in the zone too, also the supermarkets were near by, Love to come again.Guest review byShkelzenAlbania - 10.0

Sollinger is a charming destination with beautiful scenery, great local attractions, and plenty of opportunities for relaxation and outdoor activities. It is well equipped with everything you'd need. Angelika was very friendly and accommodating as our host. We picked this spot as it was near the Bierboerse we wanted to attend, so we could walk there. There is a bakery around the corner and a supermarket at walking distance as well. Parking is free in the street itself. If you are interested in history, visit the Industriemuseum where it is shown how knives and scissors were produced in Solingen.Guest review byEliseNetherlands

Everything was great - room style and size, cleanness, small kitchen with all necessary staff, comfortable bed and matrass, modern bathroom, greeting coffees for special coins left in the room, the sports gym, and what is important - silence (our room was overlooking the inside yard). You can see that they are trying. The windows are 46DB insulating for the noise and ear plugs are provided. I really checked the bathroom but mine was spotless and clean.
