Clean comfortable room, bed, shower. Excellent location. Bikes were stored in a connected locked garage. The gentleman at reception carried our bags to our room - very friendly. Loved the 11am checkout.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious! the couple at the front desk were very nice and helpful. we don't speak German and they were both very kind to us w/ our English language shortcomings. The same can be said for the restaurant staff. We appreciated it. Also - the bike garage was great. and the hotel is perfect for cyclists.

Excellent location in the old town and only a stone's throw from the river. A very attractive town in a lovely setting, with lots of cafes and restaurants. Public parking was nearby and cost 3 euros 50 per 24 hrs. The flat was very spacious and well equipped.

    Wertheim is a lovely town on the Main River, close to the Spessart. Hikers and bikers would really enjoy this area, surrounded by many small towns and in proximity to larger cities, like Würzburg. Wertheim has at least one superb bakery, a few cafes and thankfully still one or two German restaurants!

    Wertheim is nostalgic for me.

    Wertheim is nostalgic for me. Walking up to the castle with my family, having Spaghetti ice at the Eis shop was fabulous. Pils beers on the front patio area of the hotel was delightful. Donor kababs for lunch sitting on a bench along the river overlooking the Spessart brewery was lovely. Strolling around town, shopping and stopping for treats along the way was also wonderful. The gnomes along the bridge railing added charm. The Schwan had their Ruhetag the night we stayed over, so eating at Zum Ross in Vockenrot was a highlight.The Schwan breakfast the next morning was typical German fruhstuck; soft boiled eggs, jogurt, meat and cheese plates, jams, brotchen and cereal was incredible. If you want an opportunity to detach, relax and enjoy simple pleasures with delicious food and take in amazing views, please visit Wertheim.

    It is a beautiful historic city.

    It is a beautiful historic city. The Shoppes are quaint The castle has a very regal view of this well preserved town. It is fun to explore and it has several very accommodating hotels. There is no shortage of good restaurants. Residents are very welcoming and Murchants are attempting to assist however they can. It is a great city to visit Buy car, boat, or bicycle. If there is one negative, it is the limited parking.

    I was there for just one (complete) day over the Easter...

    I was there for just one (complete) day over the Easter holiday. It is a very nice small German village off the beaten track (i.e. Autobahn), but which is very close by. It is on the confluence of the Rivers Main and Tauber. The old Castle (Burgt) is worthwhile a visit.

    Surprisingly spacious, if somewhat basic, accommodation situation directly in the 'old town' part of Wertheim. Great for a short stay. Inexpensive car park located very close by (5 minute walk). Interesting network of quaint pedestrianised historic roads and passages with a selection of shops and restaurants. A bakery is located just a couple of doors away. Also convenient for riverside walks and the climb up the adjacent hill to the castle.

    It’s new and clean and comfortable. Has on site parking important for people arriving with a car. Depending on your needs location is good. There is a very nice designer outlet walking distance from the hotel. Also has some nice restaurants near by.
