So Hirstal is not a big place and (forgive me if I am wrong) I guess a lot of people travel there on their way to Norway. But this hotel is amazing. The most stunning view you can imagine and the manager is sooooo friendly. Also 1000% safe and secure

Everything in the location is Vintage in the style of 1895, but very clean and fresh renovated with old materials - just an amazing design with a very good sense for atmosphere. The leader of the hotel tries to make it very comfortable and quiet for the guest and it feels in the best way to be in the style of the olden days. An amazing experience which I didn't expect!

A beautiful , very spacious and comfortable house !Shame that we were only there for 1 night, we would highly recommend- great space, great light, all that you need in the kitchen, easy to find , great location. The apartment ist really nice and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was really good and since you finish the preparation by yourself you are super flexible with the time. Anne is very nice host. We took the farry to norway therefore the location ist really good.

It’s a small harbour town - not a place you would make a...

It’s a small harbour town - not a place you would make a special effort to go to as a tourist, but it has a pleasant hotel with a nice terrace, a couple of decent restaurants and shops for essential groceries. If you are in Hirtshals for the ferry, you might like to stop by for a bite to eat or a drink on a terrace. The nearby beaches are beautiful and really worth a visit - especially if you have dogs!

This place was perfect for an overnight stay from coming from the ferry and leaving the next day to travel onwards to our destination a 10 hour drive further to the south-west. We found it especially useful that the bedroom had a window that could open but it was on the side the wind came from so it blew into the room a lot. It would have been nice if the windows on the other side of the room had the possibility to open, too, so we could choose which ones to open, according to the wind direction. There was a lounge with TV and a big corner sofa and a kitchen with a dining table downstairs. There was also a cozy little entrance area with a round table to play games and a very comfy hanging chair I loved to sit in. The downstairs bathroom is spacious and clean. On top of the stairs is another toilet which makes it easier for toilet use in the night for the occupants of the upstairs bedrooms. There is also a bedroom on ground level, next to the lounge and kitchen. We had a meal on the ferry, so we did not need to go out for dinner in the evening but from other visits to Hirtshals I know there are eating places around. Just check for the season because they are not all open the whole year round, especially between Christmas and the New Year you might be stuck because most places are closed at 'romjul'.

A great place to stay when travelling between Denmark and...

A great place to stay when travelling between Denmark and Norway. A 2 minute drive to the ferry terminal. Dinner had a good selection and was delightful, with excellent service. The breakfast had everything you could need and was beautifully presented and fresh.

I travelled through a part of Hirtshals to the harbour so I didn't see much of it. But my staying in Tornby Guesthouse for two nights made my journey worth while! You can see some photo's of the Tornby Guesthouse.

This is an exceptional hotel. The decor is exquisite - in the Danish style and the owners take real pride in getting the decor and furniture just right. The hotel is beautifully presented and the owner is extremely welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and will be back - hopefully with other members of our car club. The hotel has the facilities to host car clubs.

The room is spacious, clean and very cosy. Has the front terrase and back side balcony, which is very nice. Has great location next to the beach!! Food store is on the site, very convenient. Nice dinner at the restaurant, tasty food, quick service for daily menu. Many thanks to the hotel owners))

The hotel room was newly decorated, except the bathroom. It was comfortable equipped. The breakfast room was huge with a nice breakfast. The stuff was very friendly.
