Punta Cana is a lovely place.
Punta Cana is a lovely place. It would be nice to have public transportation buses to the Blue Mall etc. Lots to see and do here. It would be really nice to be able to book tourist sight seeing flights on helicopters and small planes. We did zip lining and visited the monkeys..both good experiences our parasailing was cancelled correctly due to the tropical storm. I always try to leave small tips for workers in the resorts. This was my second time visiting Punta Cana.
This was my second time visiting Punta Cana. Still undergoing a lot of building and construction, but it is a growing county. We stayed in Uvero Alto at the beginning of September. We did see plenty of seaweed but they do try to remove it daily. But for my liking the ocean is nice to see but due to the darker water and seaweed I didn't get in the water. Macoa beach was not impressive and they have many vendors that are extremely overpriced. Other than that you can walk along the beach, but plan to take your own food for the day or spend $25 per lb of fish or $30 per lb for lobster. Saona Island was beautiful, you see the blue Caribbean waters and white sand. This time we saw clear waters, but the first time there was a lot of seaweed.Guest review byHernandezUnited States - 6.0

The hotel was very beautiful, lovely flower, I felt safe with my daughter there. There were things to do at every corner of the ground and very nice entertainment at night. Very big hotel, drink and food all day long, there were things for children to partaking in and many other things to do. Worse than I could have imagined... Unfortunately, the type of guests staying made the stay unbearable. These guests were using illicit substances inside the hotel, playing loud music, taking over common areas like the swim-up bar, engaging in sexual behavior in the pool seating areas and at the disco, and generally being noisy and unbearable.Guest review byLuciaDominican Republic

Away from all inclusive hotels you have a chance to meet travellers not tourists. Manager was very kind and helpful, he even lend me his bike so I could make a trip to secret Hoyo Azul and Claro nearby. Reception offers variety of paid attractions that Punta Cana has.
