It's a really cost-effective hotel. You can see the pyramids and it's close to the Great Egyptian Museum (GEM). The staff were so kind and the hotel itself had an Egyptian feel, which was nice. The bedding was clean and the hot water came out well. It was so nice to see the pyramids in the window. We were very satisfied :)

It was very clean and lovely. Mariam Mofdy and Sana from guest relations were amazing and did so much for us (it was my birthday and they did lots of surprises! 🥳). They were extremely helpful, friendly and respectful. We loved everything and would stay here again for sure. 💖

Beautiful hotel in a converted 19th century building right in the middle of downtown Cairo a few minutes' walk from Ramsis train station. The mostly young staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous. They were also extremely helpful if I needed anything. I would especially like to mention Abdallah and Youssef at the reception. My room was not big but immaculately clean with a sparkling bathroom with a rain shower. The building reeked of history with high ceilings, antique furniture and other historical knick knacks. The breakfast was continental consisting of an an omelette, cheese, vegetables, halva, yogurt with tea or coffee. Excellent stay.

FAQs about hotels in Cairo

Resting Place of Pharaohs

Born of an ancient civilisation, Cairo is a vast metropolis centred around the Nile. Its sheer scale can feel overwhelming (especially when flying over it into Cairo Airport), so plan ahead. An obvious starting point are the Giza Pyramids. Although the pharaohs are long gone, the grandeur of their burial pyramids, the Sphinx and Solar Boat are testament to their ambition.

The city’s Egyptian Museum houses a dazzling display of ancient Egyptian artefacts, including finds from Tutankhamun’s tomb in Luxor. Around the corner is Tahrir, a huge square and focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.

East is Islamic Cairo, home to 9th-century Ibn Tulun Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque (site of the world’s oldest university), and the Khan el-Khalili souk – remember to haggle. The Citadel, with its elegant Mohammed Ali Pasha Mosque, sits on a hill offering far-reaching city views.

If you want to step out of cultural tours, take a Nile cruise by felucca, spot wildlife in Wadi Digla desert park or visit Egypt’s top theme parks: Dream Park and Magic Land, where you can tour Egyptian TV studios.

Before heading to your Cairo accommodation, sample the local cuisine – the falafel and fuul (bean paste) are delicious. Turkish coffee is a staple and there are hundreds of shisha bars, while major Cairo hotels have bars serving alcohol.

Cairo is HUGE and very busy with LOTS of people! The locals are very friendly and know you are a tourist! There is sooooo much to see and explore. I will be back!! If you are an American, take lots of $1 and $5 to use for tips at sites. They are happy to take USD!

I have always wanted to go to Cairo, but everyone I talked to said nothing but negative things about it. I decided to add Cairo on to my trip to Jordan. I wish that I would have added more time, because I absolutely loved it! I will definitely be coming back for a full Egypt trip!!

Eh Cairo is pretty dumpy with a ridiculous amount of homeless dogs and cats. I'm a dog owner so seeing so many stray dogs was heartbreaking. Also my girlfriend got checked out by almost every guy which got old pretty fast. Pyramids and GEM were great but wouldn't go there again.

Cairo has a lot to offer, allow one day for Giza Pyramids and The Grand Egyptian Museum, Another day for Museum of Egyptian Civilization (contains mummies), the Citadel and to visit the Khan el Khalili bazar. Allow another day to visit to Memphis and Sakkara Step Pyramid, the Bent Pyramid, the Pink Pyramid and the Southern Pyramid. There are many other sites but I believe above to be the minimum.

Historic center is non existent all destroyed. To enter the cave churches you go throug a plastic waste dump / Christian slumb. Everywhere from Gizeh to down town you will smell shit and see dammaged buildings and even more shit. We saw camels and horses in pain. Everyone wants your money and there are lying to eachother, even Egyptians get fucked in this city. Just go somewhere else, Aswan is historical, great, safe en tight

Cairo is a very big and busy city. The Pyramids, Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum and the main museum must be on the itinerary. Khan El Khalili Market is over hyped and in my opinion 'avoidable'. Cotton shirts and towels I feel are items for a good purchase.

Location, cleanliness and most importantly the staff: Nahla, Abdo,Saif and all of them. Their gentle kind and caring attitude, and their Service with a smile on their faces is second to none. I stayed at 4 different 3* hotels during my travels in Egypt and this place is by far the best. I could sleep well at night without having my sleep interrupted by the noise of heavy traffic and barking of dogs etc.

It is close to the airport and I took it as I only went to the hotel to just sleep some hours. The receptionist were the best ones I met in Egypt. I asked to get a taxi early in the morning and this was the only hotel from all I visited in Egypt that told me the real price I had to pay (maximum 80 egyptian pounds), and only for it they deserve the best comment from my part. Thanks a lot.

The breakfast was very good. Typical items on a self-serve Egyptian breakfast buffet; bread, cheeses, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs, yogurt, foul beans, pastries, coffee, tea, juice, fruit. Everything you need, but without frills of 5 star hotels. Very attentive service. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable.
