Barcelona is a magical city with a vibrant energy. The city is very walkable, even more so with the implementation of the super-blocks in the Eixample. There are countless examples of the Modernisme architecture from the late 19th and early 20th century. A great diverse city on the water with both historical and modern architecture sprinkled throughout. Wonderful hill top view options, lots of good walking options. The people were very friendly and helpful. We had great food within easy access of our centrally located apartment we rented. The half day adventure we took to Sitges (about 40 min outside of Barcelona) was amazing. We got taxis immediately outside the hotel to our meeting points and to take us to the restaurants we had booked each evening.
