    Bakio is a terrific beach and surfing resort, but we didn't go for either of those. We went because it's close to Gaztelugatxe and there are some very good restaurants nearby. And a txakoli museum! Check it out!

    Isobela was a wonderful host very friendly and welcoming, who has a lovely house in Bakio. My room was fantastic and i couldn't have asked for more.I was there for two nights and it was also convenient for travelling into bilbao as the 3518 bus links bakio to bilbao and runs every hour and takes about 45 minutes so you can have the best of a beach location and the city attractions a short journey away.

    We were charmed by this wonderful hotel. Our room faced onto the beach, so close we could hear the waves at night. We have to mention Unai, who is responsible for the hotel's fabulous breakfast! The Arimune was also a great base for our visit to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, which was spectacular and well worth the hike. We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

    Can’t rate the hosts and accommodation highly enough. Villa was immaculate and had a gorgeous view. The hosts also drove out to Bilbao in the middle of the night to rescue us when we were stuck in the city with no way to return to Bakio as public transport and taxis had stopped for the night. Thank you both so much!
