Great little town with friendly people. Beach is gorgeous and easily accessible by bus or train. Don't expect everyone to speak English as this is a very spanish town.... this is one of the major selling points to travelling here. Easy & SAFE walking distance to all restaurants, shops, beach, bars & some nightlife. It is slightly more expensive to eat on the beachfront, compared to some restaurants down the side roads. Plenty of choices. There was an AWESOME sushi buffet restaurant, called Yamasato, not too expensive & with a good variety of dishes besides sushi. Not all waitrons spoke English but there was 1. Downside of Castelldefels, easy access to Barcelona but an hour bus ride cost 5 EURO 1-way. It was cheaper to stay in this area compared to BarcelonaGuest review byMoJoTravelSouth Africa

For this reason, with the recommendation of a friend, we chose to stay in Castelldefels and go to Barcelona by train. Castelldefels has been a great find for us. We will definitely come there in the next holidays, we loved the beach. Especially for windsurfing. It was a good choice as it was a perfect relaxing stopover by the beach. The hotel is right on the beach, and we spent the afternoon swimming and relaxing. The children with us had a great time in the sea and on the beach. There where bars and restaurants all around the property. It was very easy to use the public transport to Sitges and Barcelona.
