I always wondered how it would be to stay in this hotel and when some friends came to my house to visit, I decided to give them some privacy and book a room in Murcia for the night. I liked the fact that the gentleman at the reception desk was pleasant and informative. I was pleased with the room, thr bathroom quality, the bed was very comfortable and the fact that I can rest peacefully.

Amazing staff--the manager in particular--I was made to feel as if I was part of this small family. They know the city like the back of theirs hands! Any question, they have the answer. The breakfasts were fantastic. As the property is not that large, I never felt crowded or ignored. The location is perfect for experiencing the charm of historic Murcia. I enjoyed every second and cannot WAIT to visit again!!

FAQs about hotels in Murcia

Local Feeling, Good Food, and Great History

Located in the Huerta plain and surrounded by mountains, Murcia is the capital of its namesake region and a famous producer of vegetables. This picturesque city adorned in Baroque masterpieces like the Cathedral still enjoys a peaceful, local atmosphere.

Founded in 825 by the Moorish Caliph of Cordoba in the centre of the Segura River valley, the city planners created an irrigation system that inaugurated the agricultural prosperity of the region. The Old Town -showing some of the Moorish legacy- is situated along the river banks, and its main streets Platería and Trapería have been pedestrianized for easy walking access. The centre of Murcia offers accommodation ranging from 5-star hotels to low-cost pensions.

Famous city festivities include the Holy Week, the Spring Festival, and the folkloric ‘Bando de la Huerta’. If visiting Spain and Murcia during these dates, check the hotel availability with enough time in advance. The beaches of the ‘Costa Cálida’ can be reached in less than 40 minutes’ drive. Hotels between Murcia and the beach are the best way to enjoy both the city and the sea.

Murcia-San Javier Airport is 51 km away, while Alicante Airport is 73 km away. Check out the deals on Booking.com before travelling!

Murcia is a lovely, compact city.

Murcia is a lovely, compact city. All main attractions are within easy walking distance. Having visited the region many times over the years, this was our first time in the city. I would definitely return. A great time to go in September as there is a big festival on in the main square and parades through the streets. We visited all the main attractions, they were all easy to find and no need for public transport, as all in walking distance.

    Murcia is a great city.

Murcia is a great city. Easy to get around with some lovely restaurants and bars to eat and drink. It is much less "touristy" than other cities in the region which adds to its charm. You will eat and drink mainly with locals in the bars and restaurants that are away from the tourist areas. The cathedral and area around it is great for an evening walk and drink in one of the many bars, and the mercado de correos is worth a visit for an evening meal.

Murcia is a small capital city and totally manageable to explore on foot. There is a wide choice of superb bars and restaurants. The food is mainly local and not expensive, though there are international places for eating. My favourite is "Los Zagales", just off the cathedral square. I was there for the Holy Week processions which had its charm but it did make the streets and eating places extremely busy. There are some beautiful churches and the river Segura with its many bridges makes a pleasant stroll. I would recommend the city off season, particularly in Spring and Autumn as it´s too hot in Summer.

great city to get round, if your a wheelchair user. I ca highly recommend the restaurant LA Tapeoteca. the food was just delicious try the boneless chicken wings also the burger this was the best burger I've ever had it was just a plain burger in a bun but the meat had some delicious spices none of the filling of well known burgers joints. Just a plain burger in a bun.

The property managers were very responsive to our requests. The apartment is cosy, nicely furnished and supplies appliances, extra blankets, sheets, pillows so that one does not feel lack. It is located some 20 min walk from the city centre in a very pleasant neighbourhood, close to the river. It has its own parking spot inside the building which makes it very convenient for travelling with a car. The city of Murcia is very nice. People are welcoming and smiling.

Although a large city centre hotel it was very friendly and the staff helpful. Quiet and great value for money. Excellent, large underground d carpark with lifts to the various floors in the hotel. Our room was large, comfortable with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Walk in shower and separate bath. The pool area was most welcome in the heat of the afternoon. Breakfast was varied and excellent.

This hotel is located quite far from the city centre. When it is really warm it is too far to walk there. The breakfast is not worth the money - they even use paper plates..?? There is a supermarket next door though and a Mcdonalds which is 2 minutes walk away. The room is really small and not particularly clean or comfortable.
