Requena is a lovely town with a medieval centre.
Requena is a lovely town with a medieval centre. It's an ideal place to base yourself for visiting the wine producers many of who do tours. Murviedro, a top wine producer, have a visitors centre right in the middle of town which is well worth a visit. There are many places to eat and drink and you can get to Requena from València by train or bus in a couple of hours We went to a fantastic restaurant called La Dispensa de Sofia which turned out to be a favourite with many if the local winemakers, who we ended up having a drink with!Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We stayed in the old town for 3 nights. 2 nights might be enough for some. We pre-booked a wine tour of one of the many vineyards locally. There are limited facilities in the old town. 2 small hotels with restaurants and many Casa Rurals/bed and breakfasts. Maybe a couple of other eating establishments (which were closed when we were there mid week). No food shops and only one or two places to buy/taste wine.
